Dienne
(live)

Few Belgian musicians from the experimental scene went so quickly from completely unknown to internationally acclaimed. Composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Dienne released her debut album Addio on Nicolás Jaar's Other People label in 2022. The record is a moving musical farewell to her grandmother, who died during the pandemic. She transformed her memories and grief into melancholic songs with oboe, piano, flute, reverb-soaked voices and electronic sounds. A universal ode to the loved ones who have passed away from us.

Bendik Giske
(live)

A concert by Norwegian, Berlin-based saxophonist Bendik Giske is not easily forgotten. His unimaginable stamina, circular breathing, imposing queer stature and graceful movement language leave a deep impression. All alone on stage, Giske takes you on an ecstatic trip through sound, graced by Bridget Ferrill's insane sound design. No loops, no overdubs, just breathing and saxophone. A new album produced by none other than Beatrice Dillon will be released in May 2023. For the new live show, he is collaborating with lighting artist Theresa Baumgartner.

Grid Ravage
(live)

Grid Ravage is neither jazz nor electronica. The Belgian trio is formed by Louis Evrard (drums), Gino Coomans (cello) and Yves De Mey (electronics). They first jammed at Antwerp's Summer Bummer improv festival in 2019 and released a thumping debut album on the Dropa Disc label in 2022. Lightning-fingered drum rhythms, muddy synth patterns and cinematic cello sounds. That's the recipe of Grid Ravage, whose repetitive ecstasy must be experienced live.
