I write, therefore I am. Or: we write, therefore we are. Writing down your thoughts is a fairly individual process. You write what's inside you, getting stories and poems out of your system. You trust the paper with your deepest secrets, and the paper doesn't judge. The paper gives you the space to exist. But what if you trust someone else with your stories instead of a piece of paper? We transform the individual process of writing into a collective process. We turn 'I write, therefore I am' into 'we write, therefore we are'. Collective writing means collective listening. Poetry is not only written but also heard. So next to writing, we learn to recite our poems and how to listen to each other.
