Tropicalia is a closed archive where the images can’t be seen. It’s an archive of the invisible, a sculpture constructed with a collection of different sorts and traces of time. This work is a closed strategy and it is contained in itself. These series of moments, intentions and situations are the result of photography’s relation with chemistry and mechanics. But Tropicalia takes the image away from photography. The visual loses its value as a document.
